All Saints Church School Discovers the Excitement of Fencing
Pupils at All Saints Church School recently stepped onto the piste as they took part in one of our WOW Fencing Experience Days, giving their children the opportunity to experience a sport that was completely new to many of them.
Throughout the day, pupils learned the fundamentals of fencing, from movement and technique to the rules and values of the sport, all delivered in an engaging and inclusive way.
Staff were impressed with both the quality of the coaching and the children’s enthusiasm, commenting:
“It was a really interesting day. The coach was very knowledgeable and engaging. The children really enjoyed it.”
The school also provided valuable feedback about the format of the day:
“On reflection, we should have maybe made the sessions longer as some classes never got to use the masks and foils, which from a children’s point of view is the most exciting bit.”
Feedback like this helps us continue to refine our WOW Fencing Experience Days, ensuring as many pupils as possible get the chance to enjoy every aspect of the sport.
Our WOW Fencing Experience Days are designed to inspire children to try something different, develop new skills, and discover that fencing is a sport for everyone. We look forward to welcoming more schools onto the piste in the months ahead.
