Thanks to a two-year partnership with We Are Forging Futures, Bristol Bears Community College are now a Deliverer of our resilience and self-efficacy programmes, helping to develop physical literacy in young people.

As a member of our Partner Programme, Bristol Bears Community Foundation receives training, resources and support from the We Are Forging Futures team. They are able to deliver our Ofsted-aligned personal development programme, aimed towards primary- and secondary-aged pupils.

BRISTOL BEARS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Bristol Bears Community Foundation is the club’s award-winning charity, delivering programmes that are proven to change the lives of people across the region.

The registered charity works with over 8,000 people from the local community each year and is regularly recognised for its work on a national scale, winning numerous Parliamentary Awards since 2008.

 

The Foundation delivers a broad range of programmes (16) across the South West, serving the community across four key areas: education, participation, health, and inclusion.

Through the power of sport, Bristol Bears Community Foundation aims to inspire every young and older person it works with, helping them to unlock their potential. The charity benefits tremendously from its well-established relationship with the club, with its staff and players providing a superb vehicle for club and community engagement, contributing to the club’s vision to ‘inspire the community through rugby success.’

BECAUSE THEY CAN…

…award and recognise students’ progression with British Fencing’s Achievement Awards. The MiniSword and GO/Fence awards and certificates have been refreshed to connect more to students’ desire for a more swordplay-based experience. Bristol Bears Community Foundation have additional support to deliver a holistic fencing programme that goes beyond a have-a-go experience, helping to unlock students’ potential as well as engaging the disengaged through a thematic- and games-based delivery.
